A set of 3 prayer cards featuring high quality reproductions of original linocuts for Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Day.
For Maundy Thursday: Ubi Caritas, depicting Christ's act of washing the feet of his disciples on the night before he died, surrounded by words from the Gospels of Mark and Matthew: 'Not to be served but to serve.' On the reverse, both the Latin and English texts of the Maundy Thursday antiphon Ubi caritas et amor.
For Good Friday: Sicut Lilium, inspired by the beautiful 15th century lily crucifix wall painting at All Saints' Church, Godshill. On the reverse, a translation of verses from the Passiontide hymn Crux fidelis, addressing the Cross as faithful 'above all other: one and only noble tree.'
For Easter Day: The Paschal Lamb, representing the Lamb of God, who has drawn us from Palm Sunday through Holy Week and now reigns victorious bearing the Cross. On the reverse, two verses from the glorious Easter hymn At the Lamb's high feast we sing.
These are A7 size and are printed on high quality 350gsm card stock. Available as this set of three but also individually: see Ubi Caritas, Sicut Lilium and Paschal Lamb.
